Sri Lanka Tourism Excellence Awards 2026
The Sri Lanka Tourism Excellence Awards (SLTEA) are a national initiative to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the hospitality sector, honouring the values of Sustainability, Hospitality and Excellence. The awards highlight outstanding achievements, promote best practices and encourage sustainable tourism development.
Rising Star Awards 2017
THASL’s first island-wide competition to recognise the most outstanding young personalities in the hospitality industry. Young employees from member hotels competed in nine disciplines — Concierge, Receptionist, Public Area Attendant, Room Attendant, Steward, Kitchen Steward, Bartender, Pool Attendant and Telephone Operator — with 46 finalists selected through a three-month evaluation by an expert panel. The winners were crowned at the BMICH in October 2017.
